Simon James (Jesse Eisenberg) lives in a world where everyone is, at best, indifferent to him. His life changes when James Simon - whose exact physical resemblance to Simon is matched by his diametrically different personality - gradually takes over Simon's life and even seduces the beloved Hannah (Mia Wasikowska).
